Information on Paying Rent

Paying Rent can be done on a yearly, monthly, weekly or daily basis. Some landlords may offer discount for rent payment made in advance. Paying rent may be required to be done on a specific date, delivered by mail or brought to a specific place depending on the landlord?s preference

Paying Rent in different situations

If you are paying rent for a vacation rental, the payments may be on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The rent payment can be settled in advance and in the case of a short term stay or vacation rental, a landlord may be more likely to discount for payment made in advance. However, this could reduce your leverage if you have problems with the rental later during your stay. In the case of a long term stay, you may need to pay rent 6 months in advance or you may need to pay rent 1 year in advance to receive a discount.

Paying Rent Considerations

Some landlords may offer more than one way to pay rent. Some landlords may require check payment for rent. Other landlords may accept cashier?s check or money order for rent. Some landlords may offer an online rental payment system than you can use to pay rent directly from a bank account or use a credit card.
