*Please note: The back of the apartment, where the bedroom is, is facing a railroad about 20m away. Trains move slowly around here, but freight trains are liable to pass at any time of the day or night. The noise is definitely not a nuisance, neither is it all the time, but when its there its usually a background noise, however it makes it hard to leave the bedroom window open in case a particularly noisy train passes late at night. The windows are well insulated, however, and the trains are never so loud as to prevent normal conversation nor watching TV or listening to music. Neither me nor my guests have ever needed to wear earplugs to sleep well here. Its not a metro line, either, and there is generally way more time without trains than with them.
