The Building & Block
The building is small (five floors), clean, and well cared for, located at 86th Street and York Avenue. The live-in super is kind, attentive, and responsive. The atmosphere is neighborly without being intrusive.
Theres no laundry in the building, but the laundromat on 85th & York is close enough to feel easy rather than inconvenient.
York Avenue itself is peacefulremoved from the rush of Lexington and Third Avenues, yet still well connected. Its the type of block where you start recognizing familiar dog walkers, baristas, and neighbors over time.
The Neighborhood
Yorkville has a quiet kind of magic. Youre close to:
Carl Schurz Park and the East River Esplanade (especially beautiful at sunrise)
Excellent transit options:
M86 crosstown bus right outside
Q train at 86th Street, two blocks away
4/5/6 trains at 86th & Lexington a short walk west
