Winter Sublet: Sunlit Entire 3 BR Apartment on Top Floor Between Harvard and Porter Sq
Hello there! We are subletting our sunny and cozy top-floor, 3 BR apartment on a quiet one-way street in the historic Garfield neighborhood from mid-December to mid-January. Youll be living right between Harvard and Porter Sq, with numerous local cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, and a subway station, all in walking distance. The apartment is fully furnished and everything is ready for you to have a relaxing and warm winter time.
The apartment is available from mid-December to mid-January. Youll have it all to yourself for the last two weeks of December and one of our roommates might be living with you at the apartment during the second week of January (tbd). Timeframe is somewhat flexible +/- 1 week. If youd just be taking one room, wed sublet it at half the price if we find no tenant to take the entire apartment.
Some of the best features (imo):
- Third-floor walk-up apartment, stays warm by itself. Bedrooms facing South provide extra warmth
- 10 (!) windows for lots of sunlight and fresh air
- Warm hardwood floors all around
- Living room faces quiet, tree-lined one-way street, bedrooms face quiet backyard thats open for you to use
- Large couch can be converted into a queen-size sleeping couch, if you ever want to have friends over
- Fully equipped kitchen, blender, air-fryer,
- Fully furnished as seen in the pictures. Fresh towels, bedsheets, etc. provided
- Peaceful neighbors
- Small balcony and shared backyard
Now for the not so nice features:
- The apartment does not have an in-unit washer/dryer (pretty standard across old neighborhoods). There are laundromats at both ends of the street (2 min walk) that also do laundry for you, if you like
- The apartment is historic (also, pretty standard in old neighborhoods), so the floors are slightly uneven, the paint isnt perfectly white, etc.
Rent:
- Base rent (incl. water) is $1,250 per month for one bedroom or $2,500 for the entire apartment (will be split when a roommate is present)
- Utilities and internet is usually around $300 per month and will be billed at cost and split
Requirements:
- One months lease is due upon move-in/key handover + USD 500 security deposit (will be returned when you move out)
- Need renters insurance upon move-in (should be $20 for one month, I used lemonade.com)
- Basic background check through TransUnion SmartMove upon move-in
