Summer sublet available in shared house: Enjoy a sunny second floor room on the border of Richmond and El Cerrito, only a 15 min. walk or 2 min. drive to El Cerrito del Norte BART. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac next to a large park with mature trees. The room is on the second floor up one flight of stairs.
Household includes four others: one POC man (friendly-friendly) occupies the attached garage studio apartment with his own facilities; the other three housemates are white, one people and two men, 30s to 60s. The household is open minded-friendly and laid back. All ages, genders, sexual orientations welcome. One housemate works from home in a separate private space and travels frequently for her work. The house is generally quiet and peaceful, no loud music or TV. The next-door roommate likes to game and listen to the radio at a reasonable volume. Youll be replacing a open minded people with chemical sensitivities.
The available room is 10 x 10, light and airy, at the rear of the house with a view over the backyard. The room is furnished including bedding and private with a key locking door. Its situated next to a shared full bathroom with shower and tub; there is a shared half bath downstairs. As two housemates have private bathrooms, youll be sharing the two bathroom-washrooms with only two other people. Four of us (more often three, including you) share a spacious kitchen with all amenities, a downstairs salon/sitting area, large private back yard with shaded seating, washer and dryer, and private off-street parking in driveway if desired. Location is convenient to public transportation, including BART and major bus lines. Covid precautions: Housemates generally mask when attending crowded venues and practice self-isolation in case of infection.
The house is not 100% fragrance free; however, the person youll be replacing requests that you not use perfumes or incense in the room, or scented products to clean. Rent is $975 per month plus a $400 refundable deposit. The room is available through mid-September, negotiable. Move in and move out dates are flexible.
