Description
I am looking for ONE responsible person (no couples). I will be away March 7 - April 13, 2024 and ask that you water the plants in the apartment and pick up the mail.
The location is fantastic - 5 blocks from Grand Army Plaza and Prospect Park and just up the hill from the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Barclays Center. I am officially in Prospect Heights with Park Slope directly across Flatbush. The nearest subways are the 2/3 Bergen St or Grand Army Plaza stops (3 blocks away), or the B/Q 7th Ave stop (2 blocks away) with many more subways (and the LIRR) 4 blocks away at the Pacific St/Atlantic Terminal/Barclays station.
My apt is in a small coop and is located on the second floor - this is a walk up building! Your bedroom gets about 4 hours of direct light each day. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom with AC in the livingroom. The kitchen has an overhead fan. The W/D is located in a mezzanine level in the lobby.
The rent is $450/week (adjusted according to your rental days). The rental fee is all-in - no additional charges for the wifi or utilities. The rental fee is NOT negotiable.
I will need an advance payment, a credit check, and 3 references. Please do let me know if you have any questions.
Of the photos currently posted, after the photo of the outside of the building, the next 4 photos are of the bedroom that you would occupy. The 6th photo is taken from the livingroom, looking toward the bedroom doors. The door on the left is to my room (NOT AVAILABLE). The door on the right is the door to what would be your room.

I am a 26 year old female from Michigan. I moved into this apartment with the intention of staying for a few months and ended up living here for 3.5 years. It is a lovely space and Laura is an excellent housemate/landlord. The bedroom is very cozy and has TONS of shelving a drawer space. The location couldnt get much better! Restaurants, shops, bars, coffee, entertainment etc. are right out the front door. I would highly recommend this apartment. Not only is the location amazing, but the apartment has a home feel to it and Laura is very easy to live with. You also get to enjoy the company of little Woodstock. I am sad to be leaving.

I had the pleasure of staying with Laura this past summer (11). The location was perfect for my two internships in the city and is extremely accessible by train. The neighborhood is really residential and has everything you would need.
Laura is an extremely gracious hostess who helped my adjustment to New York tremendously. This is a perfect spot for a low maintenance tenant. The room is cozy with a large bed and a desk area that was great for studying for my GREs. Plenty of drawers and shelves to store your things. I would highly recommend this room.

Laura was an excellent landlord, and everything that she states in the description of both the apartment and herself is absolutely true. Great place to stay while you get on your feet in the city, extremely convenient location.
She really is gone most of the time, and her dog Woodstock is pretty much awesome.

This is an absolutely GREAT place to stay. The landlord is super cool, and really lets you live and let you be. Shes got a cute lil dog, whos not yappy at all, his name is woodstock and hes VERY friendly but not intrusive. Just like his owner. The kitchen is great, theres no microwave, but there is A/C in the summertime. The room is nice, its got a nice view of the street, but theres cable and wifi. Oh, water pressure, is ok. Laundry is nice and in the building. Several coffee shops within walking distance, and lots of restaurants in the area. I loved living here, my only regret is that I wished I could have stayed longer. But my job keeps me moving around a lot. Oh and one more thing, the landlord is pretty straight forward. Clear, clean, no hassle and no double talk or bull. Shes a straight shooter. She means what she says, and she says what she means!

Laura, Has been the most helpful, supportive, and easy going person during my 4 month stay. Without doubt is this place a recommendation for a newcomer to the City or for somebody that is in need of a temporary accommodation.
By the way, Laura is the majority of the time busy with work or cycling - so you nearly own this place. Note, that it is a very convenient location, close to all the goods things that made Brooklyn the best place to live in NYC!
