I had a great short stay at Emmette’s residence. He was always very polite and respectful of privacy. The property is wonderful and clean. I also really liked the location - the house is located 2 minutes from I-10 and downtown Lafayette is only about 20 minutes away. There are also a few good restaurants nearby. I enjoyed having access to the fully stocked kitchen, car port, outdoor pool and hot tub, and indoor pool table. I also had my own fridge space. Emmette holds meetups in his living room on Sundays, but they’re very kind and I just continued on with my own activities elsewhere in the house/outdoors whenever they were over. Overall, I had a good experience and Emmette was a very good landlord.

The home is 6,778 sq ft, on 3 acres with 6 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and 1 half bathroom. The home has a game room upstairs with a pool table, wet bar, bar tables, big screen television and surround sound stereo with an Amazon Echo with Prime Music, etc. All bedrooms upstairs have access to the balconies. Downstairs, the living room has a wet bar with an 82 Samsung, with surround sound with Prime Video, Music, Netflix, etc. There is also an 800+ sq ft gym with commercial grade exercise equipment. The gym also has 2 computers, a big screen Samsung and Bose speakers. There is access to a 5 car carport next to the gym. The home has upper and lower porches and balconies located along the full width of the front of the main house as well as the rear of the home overlooking Bayou Teche. The is a HotSprings hot tub on the rear porch and you can step down off the rear porch onto a pool deck with a large fenced in pool. There are 6 chaise loungers as well as a table and chairs on the deck. The rear porch also has a table and chairs. When looking out from the rear porch, pool deck, and upper balcony, there are trees across the Bayou Teche. Ceiling fans are in all rooms including the rear porch and rear balcony. The kitchen has a dishwasher, trash compactor, built in microwave, built in oven, smooth top stove and 2 refrigerator-freezers. The breakfast room has a designer table that seats 6 and a large screen Samsung television with Bose speakers. There is a wine cooler and a water dispenser next to it. Kentwood water is also included. There is a front load washer and dryer in the utility room. I own two dogs that have a climate controlled dog room next to the gym. They have access to the back yard but not access to the pool deck and rear porch area unless I let them in via one of the gates. The neighborhood is quiet and it is a dead end. Im located 1 minute north of I-10 for easy access. There are many restaurants nearby and Walmart is a couple of minutes away.
