Furn Gully is centrally ocated in the heart of Seven Mile Beach corridor, Snug Harbour, between Camana Bay and the Ritz Carlton golf course.
The house is openly spacious and private in a quiet residential neighbourhood and has private beach access 5 minute walk to the best part of Seven Mile Beach, and amazing restaurants and easy access to the shops and public transportation. Snug Harbour is the oldest subdivision along Seven Mile Beach and is home to mostly Caymanian residents, or permanent residents who have lived in the islands for many years. The development was formed in 1970 and is located between Britannia and Camana Bay to the south and the Ritz Carlton and Safehaven to the north. The house was originally built in 1971 in the old colonial style, no air conditioning and no ceilings! Hurricane Ivan dictated a complete rebuild of the house that the owner undertook herself without the help of designers or contractors. The project was completed in and the property is completely new again!
There are local buses, well actually commuter type vans. The cost of the fare is usually KY to town from anywhere you board the bus. There is a rental car company very close to the home and less than a five minute walk.
The supermarket is an International Grocers Supermarket (IGA) and is well stocked with many different types of food. Fosters Food Fair a five minute walk away and offers a good salad bar and cooked local food as well as homemade breads and a bakery section. Bay Market is a gourmet and organic food market located at Camana Bay which is a 5 - 10 minute walk in towards the south. The supermarkets are open Monday to Saturday, as is the liquor stores. Both are closed on Sundays. There is also an excellent gourmet coffee shop open seven days away and located near the supermarket.
Looking forward to seeing you in the Cayman Islands.....
