While at Central Park you can also visit the Central Park Zoo. If you prefer something a little more refined you can visit Lincoln Center within a 7-10 minute leisurely stroll, or if you want to revel in the buzz of New Yorks energy visit Times Square within a 20-30 minute walk down Broadway, or go to Rockefeller Center down Fifth Avenue. OR, you can cross the street (literally) and you will be at Riverside Park South which runs along the dazzling Hudson River and enjoy a day of kayaking (free) or kite flying, or a concert. If you prefer museums, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Guggenheim Museums are across Central Park, the Museum of Natural History is only at a 15 minute *walking* distance, the NY Historical Society is also 15 minutes walking distance, while dozens of restaurants are all within a 5-10 minute walk or you could just go downstairs, and go next door to find an Italian and friendly restaurant to your right or cross the street to Riverside Park and watch stunning sunsets as you stroll on the pier and enjoy lunch on the waterfront at the Pier 1 Café.
