My girlfriend & I stayed in this apartment for the month of November and had a great time. The location is in a nice part of the East Village with plenty of cool bars & restaurants nearby to check out and an easy walk to the subway. And if you dont feel like walking, plenty of buses run from the end of the block to any subway stop or destination you desire.
We always felt safe here, and quickly settled in to the area. Theres a great coffee place just around the corner (Abraco) and a decent supermarket a couple of blocks away.
Allan (the landlord) is a really nice guy also, and made us feel at home, giving us advice on the area and checking in us now and then to see how we were doing.
We would have loved to have stayed longer, but all in all, a great place to get to know NYC.
