We are very unhappy with our experience with this landlord, whom we had finalized based on the “TRUSTED” status on sublet.com.
We had booked this property for five days. On receipt of our deposit of $200, the landlord confirmed our booking.
Just a few days before our booking, she wrote to us saying : "Due to some conflict in booking dates and also to be financially viable and competetive I have to make some changes in your booking arrangement." She offered an alternative which included shifting after one day. We were not keen to shift during our stay in Manhattan. Hence we declined her offer. Then, she agreed to refund our deposit.
That was the last we have heard from her. We have repeatedly sent her emails about the refund, but she has not replied.
We are still waiting in hope that she responds and refunds our money.
