**Currently, I have about four people who contacted me for the sublease (sublease for Last week of May - July 31st). Other than those whom I emailed, I dont think I can accept more people. I will repost the sublease if I could not make any contract with anyone. (updated 03.31.2021). Thank you for your interest. I hope you all can stay comfortable and safe in St. Louis **
I am an international student from Washington University in St. Louis (I am finishing with my MSW masters in social work). I am subleasing my apartment because I suddenly had to come back to my country due to Covid19 outbreak. It is a cozy apartment, all furnished with in-unit laundries All utilities are included in the rent - electricity, wifi, sewage literally all! You will be able to freely use the air conditioner and stuff. I had to leave my stuff including my clothes before I come back to my country but there will be some additional space that you can put yours
*** Additional charge that can happen.
1) Tenant Portal
Unfortunately, the agency is now asking the subleasee to pay additional $50 for them (it is frontdoor stl) to make the tenant portal. This fee will go to the agency.
2) Parking space
If you want to have a parking space, it will take extra charge of $80 per month and I can ask the agency to give you a parking space However, when I stayed at the apartment, I parked on street there were always spaces near the area that you can freely park.
*** Possibility to take over my apartment
I am currently closing my sublease to March 31st 2021, since I need to go back to St. Louis in April. However, if you think this apartment is right for you and want to stay here beyond March 31st 2021 and even thinking about taking my apartment over, we can talk.
I am going back to St. Louis in April and will come back to my country again around May (2021) but my lease ends on July 31st 2021. This means that it can be helpful for me if I can have the subleasee for 1-2months from mid-May to July 31st 2021.
While subleasing the apartment, we can have our contract to $700 per month (If you want to use the garage, you might need to pay extra $80). And if you decide to stay at the apartment after my lease ends in July 31st 2021, we can negotiate with the furniture. I will not be too harsh on the price if you decide to stay at the apartment longer. The original cost for the apartment is $975/mth with all utilities included.
In conclusion, if you want to take over the apartment with all the furniture, you can stay at my apartment, only paying $700 for a couple of months and make a contract with the agency to stay at the apartment with $975/mth after my lease is over (and also the deposit, as usual with other apartments. The deposit was generally 1-2month of the rent). If you want to remove the furniture but still want to take my apartment, I might ask you to help me with that (we can discuss and negotiate with this kind of issue).
I am generally fast at replying with message in Sublet.com. However, I can also talk with you via email which is [email protected] If you want to talk to me, we can schedule a zoom call. Zoom call is the way I made a contract with other subleases as well. In this case, please leave your email address to me so that I can provide you with the contract form and the zoom link
