Be sure to visit Alta Plaza Park just two blocks to the north. With its sprawling views of the bay and city skyline, as well as a fully equipped playground, its no wonder this park is a popular hangout for easy going parents and their children. Equally attractive to pet owners: The first Sunday of every month is informally known as Pug Day. Weather permitting, up to 50 pooches and their owners congregate at the north end of this off-leash park during the afternoon for a giant play date.
