I rented the garden apartment for one month during the winter of 2017. It was a great experience! I had just moved to Chicago and wanted a place where I could throw my stuff down and look for a permanent place, and the garden unit was perfect. The furniture and appliances were very nice and high quality. The space is a comforable size and welcoming. As a single guy in my 20s, I enjoyed the neighborhood, but the house is on a quiet street which was perfect. Paul was a friendly and curdious landlord. I had plenty of privacy, but if I needed anything he was more than willing to help. Overall, I was really happy with the experience, both with the property and with Paul.

I rented the garden apartment for four months in the summer and fall of 2016 and couldnt have been happier. As a new retiree, I was looking for an affordable, furnished apartment in a good location in order to be able to enjoy all the things in the Chicago area that I like to do and could not have been more fortunate to find Pauls place...and be able to see the Cubs actually, finally win the World Series to boot. As the previous reviewers have stated, Paul is great and the apartment has all of the amenities included. The coin washer & dryer are just outside the door, free street parking, and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. Andersonville & Ravenswood are great neighborhoods, and Lincoln Square isnt far either. You can easily catch a bus a block away to take you to the Brown Line, Red Line or Wrigley Field and/or downtown. The Brown Line & Red Line are 15-20 minute walks and Wrigley is only a 2 mile walk too if youre so inclined. The Ravenswood Metra train is also only a 15 minute walk. I would love to come back again for another long stay.

We stayed at Paul’s Garden Apartment for seven months. He is a great landlord, easy to work with but not intrusive. The location is ideal to access the shops and restaurants of Andersonville as well as Uptown and Ravenswood. All of the conveniences of home are at the apartment. It is fully furnished, bed linens and towels are supplied and the monthly cleaning means no maintenance for the residents. The kitchen has all the necessary supplies and a washer and dryer are on site. The street is quiet and parking was always available. Grocery store, dry cleaners, drug store…are also nearby. We hope to stay again and encourage anyone reading this review to stay as well.

This rental was everything I dreamed about and more! I stayed here from August-October 2014. Very reasonable price for all furnished place. I looked around quite a bit! Super cute vintage charm to the decorating. The landlord is extremely easy to get ahold of and very accommodating. Andersonville is such a wonderful neighborhood and convenient! I stayed alone and there was more than enough space. By the way, this place is spotless! Super clean which I appreciated! Also, holy closet! Walk in closet is a dream come true for a woman who has a lot of clothes and shoes! I wanted to take that closet with me! Definitely stay here if you have the chance!

We rented this garden apartment for three months and totally enjoyed it. As noted in the description of the property, it is located in the heart of the fabulous neighborhood of Andersonville and is close to public transportation for easy access to downtown. There is a small courtyard adjacent to the apartment, very pleasant on a warm evening. The unit is delightfully furnished with Chicago books and posters. Paul was the perfect host. Whenever we suggested some convenience that would improve the unit, (eg a shelf in the bathroom or a hook for a hair dryer) he supplied it within just a day or two. I would highly recommend this property.
