I stayed in this apartment for 2 months and had no problems. The building is very safe and has all the things needed for a comfortable stay. Fast wifi, cable television, American washing machine and dryer, and the utilities were included. The apartment is a two minute walk to the metro station and a ten minute walk to the malecon ocean area. There is a grocery store nearby. Is a very good location for students of the University, which is across the street. The owner lives in the the building and speaks both English and Spanish. There is a maintenance man in the building whenever he is needed and even a woman that will clean your apartment for a small fee. I highly recommend staying here and if it is available when I return next december I will surely stay again.

My experience here was excellent. The building and apartments within are very clean and well maintained, and The staff is very professional and honest. It is a subtle home environment and although across from the university (USAD), the evenings are very quite and peaceful. I rented here for six months and enjoyed every day. I left for the summer, but the owner Luis was kind enough to store the personal items acquired during my stay until I return. If you need a short or long term apartment in Santo Domingo, I highly recommend you make this location your first choice.

I recommend these apartments. The landlord Luis and his daughter Natalia were great and will do everything to make your stay comfortable. Thanks for answering my questions and even getting things delivered for me until I figured out how to do it myself. The area is safe, with mainly students around. Its mostly quite except a rooster crowing sometimes. Their is a grocery store nearby and also a basketball court, a casino, some bars, Chinese food, a fruit stand on the street outside on the weekdays, with nice fruit salad bowls that Ill miss, and some other things. the other bigger Plazas are only 1-1.5 miles away. There are also couriers and restaurants nearby down Sarasota St. It was great to be at an apartment instead of a hotel. Ill miss it and hope to visit again. You cant beat it for the price! Mr. Gomez was very helpful and did his best to make sure I was well accommodated. The internet connection is acceptable. There is a washer on the property for tenants use. The apartment is one of perhaps 5 units and Mr Gomez lives on the premises and is usually available to help with any problems that may arise. I spent 3.5 months in the apartment and I would do it again. The area is very quite and safe. There were spaces for parking if one has a vehicle. There is a small super market approximately 2 minutes walk from the apartment and will deliver supplies to the apartment if help is solicited. Additionally, in the morning there tends to be a lot of traffic because the apartment building is situated between 3 popular learning institutions.
