From the moment of my arrival until my departure, six months later, my stay at the apartment was Five Star. The landlord, Mr. Leon, is courteous, polite, professional, and a real people person. He made it his priority to ensure that any issues or inconveniences were quickly and immediately resolved. He also went out of his way to provide me with the information I needed to get around on buses and trains.

I lived in the apartment by myself for 6 months from mid-February through August. It was comfortable and spacious. The bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed, a dresser, a writing desk, a mounted Flat Screen TV and a walk-in closet. The living room is spacious and I had the freedom to configure the furniture to my liking. There is a large flat screen mounted on the wall and it has great sound. The kitchen is a bit smaller than a typical kitchen in terms of counter space, but it has everything you need to cook to your heart’s delight. Pots, pans, stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator.

The apartment is located downstairs from the main house. Each of the windows has shutters and curtains which can be opened and closed at your convenience. The bedroom has an AC unit installed and it works wonderfully!

The entrance has a locking screen door and the primary door has two locks. The apartment also features a security system which can be armed when you leave for the day, while you are in the apartment, and it can be disarmed upon entry. Each of the windows are also secured with sensors. At no time did I feel like I wasn’t safe or that my belongings weren’t secure.

Lastly, I want to say that the apartment became my home away from home. I spent 13 years in the military and most of the places I went to where I stayed longer than 6 months never felt like home. I could have easily stayed for six more months, but my consulting contract was over and I had to move on.

I stayed at this location for four months while I went to a specialty school in NYC. Not only is it in a location that makes it super easy to commute into and out of NYC, but Mike was incredibly awesome. He is extremely knowledgeable about all things in NYC and Jersey City. Any time I had a question about how to get around, he always had an answer and usually multiple options. Mike was very professional and attentive if there were any issues. Mike also has parking available (at an extra cost) that is off street. I would definitely recommend staying at this location whether you are visiting Jersey City or NYC. He made it very easy and stress free so I could focus on school.
