      Pacific Islands Education
Many islands in the pacific region have well developed educational system. Australia is the major one having a well-developed education system. School Attendance is compulsory between the ages of 6 and 16 either in government school or in a recognized private institution. 40% of the people having post school qualifications. Cooks Island offers free education for primary and secondary students and there is some financial aid for independent schools run by Catholic and Seventh Day Adventist missions. This country has a Teachers Training College, nursing school, a Trade Training Centre, Hospitality and Tourism Training Centre and Nursing School. Fiji is well developed country by the means of literacy. Here education is free and compulsory for the year 6 to 16 age group. Classes are conducted in the pupil's parent tongue and in English for the first few years until students have learnt enough English to continue in English. Post education includes vocational and technical institutes and the University of the South Pacific which is located in Suva. In Kiribati education system Schooling is compulsory for children between the ages of six and 14. Most children receive a primary education and some students study in New Zealand and Australia. Marshall Islands has a high literacy rate of 93%. Most of the children receive primary education in a bilingual/bicultural curriculum. In the fourth grade English is introduced as a part of syllabus. In Federated States of Micronesia education is must and should for children who have the age in between 6 and 14. Majority of the population in Nauru is employed in mining phosphates, public administration, education and transportation. New Zealand School education is compulsory from 5 to16 years and having the great literacy rate of 99%. Most of the people in Niue don't have much more educational background. In Palau education is compulsory for children having the ages of 6-14 year. Papua New Guinea has the number of children enrolled in school having an adult literacy rate of 58%. Samoa children attend primary school with 94% and 65% attend secondary school. Solomon Islands country adult literacy rate is 76.6%. In Tonga Primary education between ages of 6 and 14 is compulsory and free in state schools resulting in a high literacy rate of 99%. Missionary schools provide 83% of the primary and 90% of the second grade education. There is some higher education training in teaching, nursing, agricultural and medical training. According to Tuvalu education system schooling is compulsory between ages 5 and 15. It has high adult literacy rate of 98%. The literacy rate of adult in Vanuatu is 74%. Primary education is in English and French but only 39% of them are continuing to secondary school. The developments in secondary education are limited by very shortages of trained teachers.

      Pacific Islands History

      Pacific Islands Government
Pacific Islands is a region having different islands with different political background and government systems. The Commonwealth of Australia is a federal constitutional monarchy under the parliamentary democracy. The Australian Government structure explained about two distinct concepts namely federalism and the separation of powers into legislative, executive and judiciary branches of government. The separation of powers affects the structure of the Constitution which breaks down the branches of government into individual units. He is head of state, government and the Presidential Cabinet. The President is elected by the Nitijela and he appoints cabinet ministers to leading positions in the government departments considering the approval of the Nitijela. Federated States of Micronesia has a Constitutional Government in free association with the US. Nauru is one of the world's smallest independent democratic states. Its constitution was approved in 1968 and is established as a republic with a Westminster style parliamentary system of government. New Zealand has a Parliamentary democracy government. Niue has Self-governing parliamentary democracy. Each and every person having 18 years and beyond has a right to vote to select their leaders. Palau is a democratic republic with directly elected executive and legislative branches of leaders. Presidential elections are held at every 4 years at the same time as the United States' presidential election to select the president and the vice president who run the policies as a team. The Palau National Congress has two houses namely Senate has 13 members elected nationwide and Delegates has 16 members one each from Palau's 16 states. All the legislators serve 4-year terms and each state elects its own governor and legislature. Papua New Guinea has Parliamentary democratic government. Samoa has Parliamentary monarchy government. Solomon Islands is also having a Parliamentary democratic government. Tokelau government is dependant on New Zealand. Tonga has hereditary constitutional monarchy as a ruled government. Tuvalu government system is Constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy. Vanuatu has Parliamentary republic government ruled by the president. He is elected for 5-years term. Prime minister is the head of government and is elected based on majority votes of the parliament.

The National Park intends the best of American Samoa scenery, shorelines, reefs and rainforest. It is really a mixture of "three parks" on four separate islands. All the units have great scenery and tropical rainforests. Lata Mountain located in Ta'u outgo in its wild and remote forests, free-flowing streams and rugged coastline. Ofu and Olosega have the most accessible coral reefs and miles of breathtakingly extraordinary beaches. Tutuila trip is a great experience with road accessible forests, native wildlife and scenic coastline.

Fisheries and tourism plays a major role in the economic structure of Palau. Papua New Guinea economy is arrived through agriculture, fisheries, forestry and mining. Republic of Marshall Islands economy is based on agriculture and US Military spending. Samoa is another major island. Agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing and tourism are the major resources supporting economic growth. Tonga economy is based on agriculture.
