The city of Paris is a capital city in France, and it is a largest city in France. It is located in the middle of the Seine River and it is established more than 2,000 years ago. Because the city is famous for its beautiful city plan, its architecture, museums, bridges, cathedrals, parks, shopping, flea markets, sidewalk cafes, wide and luxurious boulevards, elegant cuisine, and several monuments. Paris has a nickname that is "La Ville-Lumiere". The city's official languages are English and French. The city has 12,089,098 populations in 2008 estimation and it is one of the most populated metropolitan areas in Europe. Now the city one of the world's leading business and cultural centers and its effects in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and the arts all donate to its status as one of the world's major global cities.

Paris is controlled by an elected mayor. Paris is a major financial and commercial center in France. Although some pockets of insufficiency, it is a very wealthy city, home to many vast private treasures, both French and foreign. The city economy is particularly different and has not yet implemented a specialization inside the global economy.
