Denver Area History
Denver was established in 1858 November as a mining town throughout the Pikes Peak Gold Rush in western Kansas Territory. Denver Climate
When people first think of Denver?s climate, they immediately assume that it is cold and snowing year round. This is not true even though the Colorado? mountains get a lot of snow every year. Denver?s is located on the edge of the Rockies on the high plains. The climate is moderate and the temperature is usually above the average of the cities located in at the same latitude. Denver is the opposite of cold. It is a sunny place and some people say it gets more sunshine than Miami or San Diego. It is a comfortable climate with low levels of humidity. Denver is a pleasant place to live.
