I hate hate HATE to have to post this add but Im moving out of my fantastic apartment on the UES at the end of August to go backpacking and now my equally fantastic roommate is in need of a new guy/girl/martian to live with.

The apt itself is great, HUGE double living room (ie two rooms with the shared wall removed so its a giant living room/ common area space) with my roommates small home office, a couch, and a new york style (meaning non-operational) fireplace in the front half and a comfy living-room setup with a couch, futon, and coffee table in the back half. there is also a Great kitchen that my roommate has (of course) only finished re-doing now that I have to leave. It is fully stocked with amazing cooking implements (knives, pots, pans, etc...), all the spices you could ever want (seriously we have at least five kinds of paprika), and a massive pantry. The bathroom is also large and the shower is fantastic (at least I think so because Ive never run out of hot water).

You have your choice between either of the two bedrooms (although if you dont rent mine youre pretty silly since the room itself is bigger than most one bedroom apartments). The front bedroom is smaller, with enough room for a full bed and dresser and installed shelving and racks for hanging clothes. The back bedroom is ENORMOUS, I have a full bed and my desk in the room but these only take up about one-half to two-thirds of the space of the room. Were I a more creative interior decorator (and had more furniture) it would be very easy to arrange the room to have a separate reading/lounging space as well. My roommate is asking $1850 for the front room and $1,650 for the back, AND if you are interested in my fur
