Garden Hills Overview
Kew Garden Hills is adjacent to the southwest corner
of Flushing. Kew Gardens Hills got is name from the
location of the area, which was on the hills overlooking
Kew Gardens. Originally this area was known as Queens
Valley, it was renamed when they began to develop
the area in the 1920's-30 and most of the houses we
built on the hills. Prior to the housing structures
that were built here, Kew Garden Hills was home to
many golf courses.

Kew Garden Hills was
originally settled by English settlers looking for
fruitful farm lands. Today, Kew Garden Hills
is home to many immigrants of mostly German, Irish
and Italian decent, and most recently Kew Garden
Hills has seen large influx of an Israeli population.
