Laurelton Overview
Laurelton,
Queens was named after the Laurelton Land Company which first started to
develop the area. Before the development of the land the area was a beautiful serine in
environment, fill with fresh water ponds. Today, this area is primarily
residential, with one and two family homes.

Laurelton
population grew in the early 1900's as
German, Irish, Italian and Jewish immigrants settled here with intention of
raising their children in a suburb. Today, Laurelton predominately
middle class neighborhood filled with newer immigrants from Hispanic and
Asian descent.
