Corona Overview
Corona was
known as West Flushing until a developer changed the name. Corona is home to
one of the largest city parks called “Flushing Meadows Park”, or to the
locales the little central park. Corona is as a blue collar area with cheap
rents, nice landscaped parks, and is most importantly convenient to public
transport. Corona claim to fame is Louis Armstrong, the well renowned jazz
musician, was born in this small section of Queens, New York.

was once predominantly Italian and African American neighborhood. Today,
Corona now flourishes a ethnically diverse population, consisting of Asian,
Latino, Greeks, Indian, and Middle Eastern.

houses one of the largest apartment complexes, called Lefrak City. General
rent in this area range from studios for $600-900, one-bedrooms for
$700-$1000, two-bedrooms for $900-$1200.

Transportation & Commuting Most transportation
is done via New York City subway which has 3 stations one at Junction
Boulevard, a second at103rd Street-Corona Plaza, and a third at
111th Street. Getting on these trains should have you in midtown in 30
minutes.
