| there are free boxes to be had BUT |
| you can find free boxes that stores are throwing out, but you never know what is going to be in them, meaning something gross like bugs or residue from food. if you buy new boxes, it might feel like a waste of money, but at least you know the boxes are clean |

| all boxes are not created equal - make sure you get quality moving boxes. some boxes are not make with the necessary thickness of the corrugated cardboard. also, it is important to wrap your valuables properly. sometimes, newspaper is good enough, but bubble wrap is better. moving blankets are also great for keeping your furniture from getting scratched. |
