Qatar is originated on the Persian Gulf with United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia as the borders. The capital city of Qatar is Doha. Muslim is the major religion of this country and the next one is Christian. This country economy is based on the revenue generated from the oil and natural gas companies. The sports culture of Qatar is based on the traditional sports of Arabia's desert society include Arabian horse racing, camel racing, and falconry. Some of the Western sports like basketball, golf, handball, football, swimming, table tennis, track and volleyball are played by many people and it also hosts several annual sporting events such as tennis, golf and automobile racing.       Qatar History
Once upon a time Qatar was controlled by the sheikhs of Bahrain, but the 1867 war broke out the people and their rulers. In order to maintain peace in the Persian Gulf, the British installed Muhammad ibn Thani al-Thani as a head of a leading Qatari family as the region's ruler. At the time of 1893, the Ottoman Turks made incursions into Qatar, but the emir successfully deflected them. Emir agreed to allow the Qatar to become a British protectorate in 1916. In 1940's Oil was discovered and bringing wealth to the country at the time of 1950s and 1960s. The major income is gained from the oil exports which is nearly 85%. In 1971 Qatar was joined in the other emirates of the Trucial Coast to become a part of the United Arab Emirates. Qatar consent to the international forces to use Qatar becomes a major one during the 1991 Persian Gulf War and that border dispute erupted with Saudi Arabia was cleared in Dec. 1992. In 1994 Qatar signed a defense pact with the U.S. in order to becoming the third Gulf state. In 1995 the king based ruling was started. Qatar is homed to Al Jazeera, the popular and controversial Arabic satellite television network. Qatar introduced its constitution on June 9, 2005 according to the guarantees freedom of expression, assembly and religion and calls for a 45-seat parliament. Thirty of the seats will be filled in democratic elections, and the remaining seats are filled by the emir.

      Qatar Transportation
Qatar doesn't have any well equipped transportation facilities. Qatar government started the Taxi Company in 2002 named as Mowasalat which is solely owned by the government to facilitate "Integrated Ground Transport Services" for through out country. At the earlier stage of transportation it has 3,000 privately owned orange taxis but emergence services of the Mowasalat made great changes in transportation in Qatar. Present Mowsalat operating 1800 taxi sedans and there are also have the airport taxis. Another transportation service provided by Qatar is Doha Limousine Service which operates 100 standard limousines and 200 VIP units which offer transportation facilities from Doha International Airport to the major hotels. Three different modes of transportation services are available in Qatar. Those are buses, taxis and limousines and Mowasalat is the owner of all these services and some of them are owned by limousine companies. Qatar another mode of transportation is private taxis which may be a suitable way to go around the country. Limos is the another way of transportation but is the more expensive choice in which hiring charges are starting at 30 Riyals. Qatar provides another way of transportation is hiring a car. It has many agencies which offer this though the prices can be around 1500 Riyals per month.

      Qatar Government
Qatar has a traditional monarchy as a government system. It consists of 10 municipalities Ad Dawhah, Al Ghuwayriyah, Al Jumayliyah, Al Khawr, Al Wakrah, Ar Rayyan, Jarayan al Batinah, Madinat ash Shamal, Umm Sa'id and Umm Salal as administrative divisions. Qatar got the independence on September 3, 1971 from UK and then September 3rd is declared as a national holiday. The constitution of this country was approved by public referendum on 29 April 2003 and was introduced by Emir on 8 June 2004, effectively working on 9 June 2005 onwards. Qatar Legal system is discretionary system of law regulated by Amir. It have some civil codes are being implemented; the Islamic law dominates family and personal matters. Each and every one with 18 years and beyond has a right to vote. The total legal system is regulated by three major branches such as Executive, Legislative branch and judicial branch. The Executive branch consists of Amir Serve as the head of the state and he holds the responsibilities of Minister of Defense, Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister and cabinet. Legislative branch consists of unicameral Advisory Council with 45-members Consultative Council. Public would elect two-thirds of the council members and the remaining members are selected by Amir. Judicial branch consists of two court systems such as civil and Islamic laws were merged under a higher court, the Court of Cassation, established for appeals.

      Qatar Geography
Qatar is an independent state in the Southern Arabian Gulf having the boundaries of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Iran. This country is originated at the midway along the western coast of the Arabian Gulf. It is situated 11,437 square kilometers on a limestone peninsula towards north about 160 kilometers into the Gulf. The latitudes and longitudes of this are having latitudes 24.27 - 26.10 north and longitudes 50.45 - 51.40 east. Al Bidda Park is best public park in Doha with amidst beautifully landscaped surroundings any body can enjoy a leisurely stroll by taking the views of Doha's bay and is having the facilities of Cafe, shops, Playground, Skateboarding, half pipe for skate boarders and open-air theatre and is famous as a picnic spot. It is opened in all the day with out entrance fee and is only allowed families by providing parking facilities. Al Muntazah Park is the older parks located in Doha with boasts large grassy areas and mature trees, tends to be busiest in the evenings and weekends and is famous for picnics. It is opened in all the day with out any entrance Fee and allows Women and children and boys up to the age of nine only provide Parking facility.

      Qatar Economy
Qatar is economically very strong country. So many relating initiatives have been launched to allow the more Qatari's into rising positions in businesses. The major economy of this country is generated from oil. The Qatari oil production is centers at Dukhan in the west and there are one onshore and three offshore fields together with the United Arab Emirates. Some of the income is gained from the tourism. Agriculture and fishing plays a small role in the country income but in recent year's government pay more attention on agriculture and fishing activities. The major industrial activities are located around the Umm Said include the production of cement, fertilizers, steel and petroleum and the steel production. Liquefied natural gas (LNG), petroleum products, fertilizers and steel are the export products to this country and Asian countries, primarily Japan, South Korea and Singapore are the partners for exports. The major imports of this country are Machinery and transport equipment, food and chemicals and USA, Italy, Japan, France and Germany are the major suppliers of this country. Now Qatar is enjoying with the pleasant economy raised from several segments.
