Monmouth County is one of the 21 counties in the state of New Jersey, U.S. According to the 2010 estimation, the county population of the state's fifth-most-populous its population is 630,380 up to 615,301 from the 2000 estimation. It is also one of the most populous municipality with a population of 66,522 residents in 2010 is Middleton Township. Brookdale Community College in Monmouth County is the community college and a network of 19th state-wide community college for two years. Rutgers University is complete a bachelor's degree on the campus of Brookdale's Freehold partnership with Brookdale degrees. Monmouth University, West Long Branch is a four-year private university. As well as multi-state high schools, St. under the High School, Red Bank Catholic High School, Christian Brothers Academy, St. John Vianney High School, and Mater Dei High School, Rose, Monmouth County as there are a number of church schools in the diocese of the Roman Catholic Church, under the auspices of Trenton. There are many vocational high schools including Academy of Allied Health & Science (Allied) in Neptune Township, Biotechnology High School (BioTech) in Freehold, Communications High School (Communications, CHS) in Wall Township, High Technology High School (High Tech) in Lincroft (located on the Brookdale Community College campus) and Marine Academy of Science and Technology (MAST) in Sandy Hook in Monmouth County.

Monmouth County was founded in 1675. Its name came from a suggestion from Colonel Lewis Morris. The first county government was established in 1714. June 28, 1778 during the Battle of Geoffrey of approximate Freehold, General George Washington's troops, the largest battle of the American Revolutionary War, the British under Sir Henry Clinton defeated. Monmouth is a turning point in the war of the American Revolution, June 28, 1778, at the battle of the American Revolutionary War. They left Monmouth Court House under George Washington in the American Continental Army under the command of Sir Henry Clinton; the British Army attacked the rear of the column. American General Charles Lee was led and initiated the first attack of the rear of the column. Reversing the British side of him, he was at the enemy without firing a shot, so that he ordered a general retreat, and his soldiers soon became disorganized. War in the North Theatre and participating in the war, when measured in terms of the last major engagement of the war was the largest one day. "Molly Pitcher" The Legend is usually associated with the war. According to one story, she and her husband came after the war, the cannon was a homemaker. Based on a true incident, erotic story idea for years, and became a legend.

There are a number of major roads through Monmouth County. State routes constitute are Route 18, Route 33, Route 34, Route 35, Route 36, Route 66, Route 70, Route 71, Route 79 and Route 138. U.S. Route 9 passes and also practically bisects Monmouth. In this and other ways using the county number of New Jersey Transit buses crisscross and northern New Jersey and New York to the Port Authority Bus Terminal to deliver hundreds of thousands of passengers each day. Penn Station in New York works with hundreds of New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line Railway Line, and more each day, Travel, and Middlesex County by County enters and goes to the County of Monmouth at Raritan length of the river, extending, connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the banks of the towns in the area of New York.

Monmouth County Sheriff, Shaun Golden, a county clerk, Maureen Claire French, a surrogate, Rosemarie D. Peters, and was elected three times as large scale Chosen Freeholders, a five-member Board. Each January, freeholders board meetings and actions of their members to preside over the year, to serve as the board of directors select it. The state Freeholders are supervision five mandatory tasks assigned by the county government. The board is supervisor responsible for more than 70 county departments. The county manager is appointed by Chief Executive Officer. Boards of Chosen Freeholders are carrying out the policies and directives County Administrator policies and directives to be responsible.

According to the 2010 estimation the county total are 665.32 square miles (1,214.2 km 2) (or 70.46%) is 468.79 square miles land and 196.53 square miles is square miles of water. Monmouth County is very flat and even as far as the low altitude. However, some low Holmdel Township and the surrounding hills, and one of them, Crawford Hill, a radar facility, the former site, at least 380 feet (120 m) above sea level, the highest point in the county. The fort is part of Alcatel-Lucent and houses a research laboratory owned by Bell Laboratories. Middle Township and the boroughs of Highlands and Atlantic Highlands County in the northeastern part of the Locust neighborhood are also very hilly. There are number of waterways of rivers and bays including New York Harbor, Jamaica Bay and the Atlantic Ocean in the flow.
